See how things shape up at this year’s Annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition while staying at the Holiday Inn Express.
There will be teams from across Illinois traveling to compete for the award of being Illinois best snow sculptors. It will be held at the lovely Sinnissippi Park in Rockford, Illinois. Competition will start on Wednesday, January 19th right at 9:00 a.m. for the state teams as they sculpt. Sculpting will end at 11:00p.m Thursday, January 20th and Friday, January 21st high school teams will begin their sculpting magic.
On Saturday, January 22nd all the sculpting ends and the judging begins. People’s Choice Ballots will be cast in the morning from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. At 1:00 p.m. the winners will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony.
State sculpting teams are composed of three Illinois residents age 18 or older. Some of the creative team names include: Arctic Alarm, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and Release the Crackle.
