Looking for a terrific place to stay near the NIU Graduation ceremony? Stay at the Holiday Inn Rochelle in Rochelle Illinois. The NIU commencement ceremony is set to take place for graduate students Friday, May 7 at 6:30PM. For undergrads, there will three ceremonies on Saturday, May 8, for the different degree colleges. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences graduation ceremony will take place at 9:00AM. The Colleges of Business, Engineering and Engineering Technology, and Visual and Performing Arts graduation ceremony will take place at 1:30PM. The Colleges of Education and Health and Human Services will take place at 5:30PM.
The ceremony will take place at NIU’s Convocation Center. Located at 1525 W. Lincoln Hwy, it is only a short 20 minute drive down Highway 38 will take you to the venue from the Holiday Inn Rochelle.
Parking is a breeze with three available lots, however, there will be no street parking available.
Before of after the ceremony, take your favorite grad to some great nearby dining ranging from Italian at Pagliai’s Pizza to Great Pub food at Fatty’s Pub and Grill to Mexican at Rositas Mexican Restuaruant all within a short walk or drive East on Lincoln Hwy.
